Annual Planning Report 2011 [16.3MB]
Each year Transpower publishes an Annual Planning Report which details the status of all projects that Transpower considers possible over the next 10 years.
Transpower’s Asset Management Plan represents the intended asset management strategies and programmes of work for the National Grid infrastructure and related assets.
This brochure provides information to those seeking to develop land close to existing high voltage transmission lines.
Transpower has a watching brief on development near its assets, which it refers to as Corridor Management.
Development Guide [2.4MB]
The purpose of the guide is to raise awareness of the issues relating to developing land near existing high voltage transmission lines. It looks at the impact of lines on development, and how development can adversely affect the lines themselves.
The guide provides examples of what to do/what not to do, and discusses planning and safety issues and illustrates ways to avoid and mitigate effects. It is aimed at planning practitioners, local authorities, developers and land owners.
Copies will be provided to all local authorities to have available at their front counters.
Request a copy by email or call Transpower toll-free on 0508 526 369.
Between 2003 and 2010 Grid Upgrade Plans were the means by which Transpower sought Electricity Commission approval for its investment proposals. The plans that are still being built are listed below.
